
Membership
Members should be a registered/licensed Occupational or Physical Therapist or an assistant.
Board officers need to be active members in the American Society of Hand Therapists.
Active members do not need to reside in the state of Texas.
Rights and Obligations of Members
All members shall abide by the bylaws and policies of the Texas Chapter.
Members are expected to attend the Corporation's meetings on a regular basis and to participate in the work of the Chapter.
Members should endeavor to contribute to the educational activities of the Chapter.
Members should pay annual membership dues.
Active members of the Chapter may vote and participate on committees.
Only active members of ASHT may hold elective office and chair committees.

Discounted rate for conference fees to the Chapter's annual educational conference.
A captive audience to present your ideas and issues to which could potentially lead to presentations, travel, notoriety, maybe even a book.
Opportunities to apply for a research grant and to participate in research projects.
Membership Investment
Membership dues are $30/yr for **current ASHT members | $50/yr for non-ASHT members | $20/yr for Student members.
**Current - means you must be a paid and active member of ASHT, in order to receive TXASHT membership rate of $30.00.

A chapter provides members with more individualized and timely attention, and represents local members on a national level.
